Congratulations to John P. Orr, PSP, FAACE — AACE Award of Merit
North Florida Section is proud to recognize our own President, John P. Orr, on this outstanding honor from AACE International.
John has led the North Florida Section since 2013, more than a decade of sustained leadership at the local level, on top of a career's worth of contribution to the profession nationally. The Award of Merit recognizes individuals whose significant contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact on AACE and cost engineering, and requires at least three independent nominations. For John, joining the ranks of past recipients he's long admired made it especially meaningful:

A career built on technical leadership. John joined AACE in 2006, the same year he earned his PSP certification. He joined the AACE International Technical Board in 2011 and has chaired it since 2020, guiding the association's technical initiatives industry-wide. He's a primary contributing author on two AACE Recommended Practices and a contributor to 17 more, resources our whole profession relies on.
His record of recognition speaks for itself: the Charles V. Keane Distinguished Service Award (2017), the Technical Excellence Award (2018), and AACE Fellow (FAACE) status in 2019. He's a Senior Scheduling Engineer at AECOM Technical Services.
