As you are aware, if you are certified, you must earn 15 or more recertification credits every three years to recertify.  One way you can earn recertification credits is to assist the Certification Board by grading CCC/CCE papers or Part IV exam sections in your specialty.  This can be done at your current location with no travel, and all communication will be handled by e-mail and telephone.

To be accepted as a grader, you must successfully grade a sample paper or Part IV question according to the guidelines provided.  If interested please contact Teri Jefferson at tjefferson@aacei.org.

New Membership Certificates Awarded to Three Section Members.  AACEi recently issued 25-year membership certificates to Giovanni R. Monteferrante, Kenneth A. VanderJagt, and Kirit R. Shah.  They were presented at the Section December 9th Holiday Dinner Meeting.  Congratulations to all!  See photo here.

The results of the 2010 AACEi Salary and Demographic Survey are in.  The survey showed  a more veteran membership base with just over half over age 45. Roughly 15% of the membership is now comprised of women.  Just over half of the membership reported that the employer paid all or most of their AACE dues.  Almost 95% have an associate degree or higher. While the largest majority of the responding members have been in the cost and management profession for more than 20 years (39.8%), the largest two percentages of members have been a member for less than 2 years or 25 years (36.0% and 29.9% respectively).

Almost 73% of the responding members indicated that AACE is their primary professional association.  60% reported annual income (in U.S. dollars) in 2009 in excess of $80,000. Almost 70% indicated they managed at least one other person. The largest majority of respondents, 68%, do not receive a financial incentive (salary increase or bonus) for earning AACE certification; however, 43.4% of the members responding hold at least one AACE certification designation.  All results at http://www.aacei.org/aaceonly/membersOnly/2010_MembershipSurvey_Summary.pdf
